(Fake) Masters of the Universe movie remake trailer

A trailer depicting what a modern adaptation of the animated series might look like. Principally I wanted to challenge myself to make Skeletor seem like a true force to be reckoned with :)

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was one of my favorite shows as a kid (I had a Skeletor t-shirt) and the movie version with Dolph Ludgren was even enjoyable if incredibly cheesy.
The story revolved around the planet Eternia, world of both traditional fantasy creatures (dragons, unicorns, fairies) and also futuristic advanced technology. Skeletor is an undead tyrant, trying endlessly to take Castle Greyskull which is a mystical fortress possessing powers to make any who claims them Master of the Universe. The ruling family of Eternia guards the castle without claiming its power themselves...until the young prince Adam discovers he can channel the power into himself through his sword. This surge of energy transforms him from a rather timid boy into a muscular and powerful warrior, but he keeps both identities secret and separate so his enemies can't harm him through his friends.
It occurred to me though that the new Conan looks more like a Masters of the Universe film then a Conan story. The fantasy world of Eternia works just fine with heavy stylization but Conan in my opinion should be darker and grittier. No matter, the new trailer for Conan was perfect for my own fan-trailer!
Also I drew on the new trailer for an upcoming movie called Immortals, as well as scenes from Chronicles of Riddick, Outlander, Dragon Wars, The Eagle, Solomon Kane, Priest, Sucker Punch, and Thor.

BY THE POWER OF GRAYYSKULLL! This was a pretty good fan made trailer. I think I saw Thor, Conan(Jason Momoa), The Immortals trailer, maybe clash of the Titans, but who the heck was that skull guy with the rocket launching elephants?

i think what separates your trailers from others is your sound design. everything from dialogue to the incidentals, just turns it up a notch

I cried when I heard " I HAVE THE POWER!" It was just too good. I never watched the He-man cartoon so when this video started I didn't know what to expect and didn't even know that this is a He-man trailer. So when I heard the final part, the trailer came together for me like a beautiful piece of mosaics that I was finally able to see.

Fits with He-man original roots as a conan expy combined with sci-fi. Here you have that along with lord of the rings.
