What happens when highly-skilled professionals leave the worlds leading technology companies in Silicon Valley, returning home to Africa to revolutionize business and governments there?
CONNECTED follows the challenges and triumphs of tomorrows DotCom Billionaires who are bringing technology solutions that radically improve the lives of Africans. Access to technology is connecting the bottom billions who were excluded from commerce, giving them the tools to transform their lives. Our heroes battle corruption, weak infrastructure, and a lack of skilled labor, but rapidly attract other members of the African Diaspora to help build the company.
Highest Common Denominator Media Group was awarded a prestigious Stories of Change: Social Entrepreneurship Focus Through Documentary grant from the Sundance Institute and the Skoll Foundation to develop CONNECTED. The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2011.
