31285 crosses Pont Briwet at Penrhyndeudraeth returning from the Pwllheli leg of the 07.45 Machynlleth to Derby RTC Serco test train. Plans have been announced to replace this bridge with a new £15m combined rail, road, and cycle bridge.
It is pleasing to see trains in the landscape. I like the way you combine the long shot and the regular focal length shot. Is that Cader Idris in the background? Did you know that in September when the grass dries out, you can slide down the North side on cardboard (from regular cardboard boxes)? The only penalty is a certain amount of sheep-shit on your trousers as a result! I used to do this as a kid. It was worth it and would make a good vid. with a cam. strapped to one's head...maybe.
Great video shot of the train crossing Pont Briwet, the colours of landscape and water are amazing
