King Tiger Pleco/Honduran Redpoint

My King Tiger Pleco checking out some water melon.The honduran Redpoint thinks its food but isnt sure.

Cool pleco, i would love to get a zebra pleco, but they are sooooo expensive and i think they are illegal in australia, but i wouldn't mind getting a king tiger pleco, they are similar, are legal and are much cheaper. Do you know how big they grow? And do you know if they get along with discus, like they wont eat there slime coat?

I've kept Plecs and Discus together for 5 yrs never a problem .

Around 5" for a buck male, females are smaller.

i went into an aquarium shop the other day to buy a "common pleco" cause id seen them and heard about their explosive growth rate and i like the look of them so i bought one and i got home and descoverd that the twat at the aquarium even after i asked for his assurance that it was a common pleco had infact givewn me a king tiger. i dont mind him but do u find that the growth rate is as fast as that of a common pleco??

no its much slower around an 1" or 2 a year.

Still getting a king tiger for the price of a common is a GOOD result!;-)

I recently got a fish that I thought was a Convict Cichlid. As it is getting older, maybe 4 months, 2.5 inches now, it has developed quite a bit of blue and I'm also noticing that it has some red tinge on the tail. I think it might actually be what you have, a Honduran Red Point. Good vid, thanks.

i am new , only kept chillids .. but now have 6 neons 6 inch serberum 1 striped talkin cat 1 spotted talin cat. 5 glowlights 2 baby bristle nose plecs, 2 large dollars 3 giant danios .2 cherry barbs ,4 black neons 2 scissor tail .a flying fox 2 convicts 2 leopard cats 2 bronze cats..1 scat cat /????? and a king tiger also plecostramus..large...can any 1 tell me how3 2 intise my tiger ..from hiding ? i am lost ...thx madmaff

no he has the same pattern all around its only a shade lighter on his belly, when i got him he was very light like the king tiger here so inspected real closely and looked up pics and everything and i was pretty much convinced that he was a king tiger but he recently got darker and has grown out a bit so i hope he is a common.

it wont be a king tiger pleco ... theres some common plecs that look like king tigers but are very different fish . do you have any pics and does it have a white belly ?

ohk. well yeah my friends common pleco has grown about 6 inches in the past yr and he got it at about 2 inches so i went shopping with intentions of getting one the same and the dope at the shop scammed me and sold me the wrong thing. oh well atleast he unknowingly ripped himself off. thanks ciao
