Firefighters sitting at table reading paper when a man sees a fire and pulls a fire alarm box. The gong in the station strikes out the box number and the men report to their 1925 American LaFrance pumper and respond with back firing all the way. Simulation of how things could have been back in the old days. Somewhat funny.

  • Hi eks, please can give me an address where to purchase one of these antique steam fighting pumps?Best regards,Ferdinando from Italy

  • @ferdinando2110 Hi, Ferdinando. Try doing a search on ebay motors. com If nothing try again each week..

  • if someone can answer this plzzz did they go to a real fire or this was just like a acting video or something like were they rele responding to a call?

  • @MultiShooter123 --- I don't quiet understand your question, but let me see if I can explain what is happening. We were just playing around with the antique fire engine and the old fire alarm system. However, in the old days it would have been somewhat similar, but without all the backfiring and rough sounding motor. The old American LaFrance pumpers really sounded great. Does that answer your question?

  • Sounds like they might want to put their own fire out first!* lol**

  • This video was LAME...

  • lmao all the reason not to buy american hahahaha! sounded like gun shots there!

  • I have a picture of my Dad at the wheel of an engine just like this one,,back in the early 30's

  • And that's probably how it was back in those days, I thought the truck might break down. When I was in the fire dept 1974 we had a 1946 Mack pumper that had the engine catch fire but we put it out. we called in to dispatch "signal 14 our truck".we were responding to a brush fire."signal 12" Brentwood FD N.Y. CO. 2 there were only volunteers on long island at that time.

  • I was at a museum today and there was a 1919 american lafrance fire truck there, I was not spose to sit on it but could not resist. those things are put to gether to go forever, it retiered in 1968, only 49 years, the front end of that truck probably weighs 3,500 pounds and i was steering it with my little finger, the thing was so well built, it steers better and i mean much better than vehichles with power steering, i want it so bad.
