  • this is poetry just pure poetry

  • "As we were, so perfect, so happy.

They'll remember, only our smiles 'cause that's all they've seen.

Long since dried, when we are found, are the tears in which we had drowned.

As we were, so perfect, so happy."

Nobody ever sees the inside struggle of a real relationship. They only see the good and not the bad which is how it ends.

  • @SelvesteSand hahah i'm happy for you man! I saw them 4 months ago, they gave an awesome show! I'm sure yours will be as goood!! goooooood shoooow!

  • @Sukuli100 I'll try to remember that. :D

  • @Sukuli100 And then the third level with the whole story being a metaphor for the human society. The guy knew the relationship wasn't right, so he decided to change his life and move on in the right direction, but the girl couldn't accept giving up what she loved, so she just kept driving in the same direction, and thus crashing. If we don't change our ways of living, the society will crash when we run out of resources. We need to think about the environment, the resources and the animals.

  • @Sukuli100 Who knows, perhaps it's based upon a real relationship, or perhaps it's just fiction. Nevertheless, I think the lyrics have three levels: The obvious with the relationship, fictional or not. Then a metaphorical level which is also about the relationship, with the car and the music inside being a metaphor for the girl, and the road and the whole world outside (melted snow, darkness, vague hints of an empending dawn and all) being a metaphor for the guy, and the curve for their breakup.

  • @SelvesteSand if ya ever make da vid tell me, i wanna see it

  • @SelvesteSand oh i got that, i ment like, was this based off of a real life relationship or was this a made up relationship that was used as a symbol of unseen struggles?

  • @lespaulultra712 I'm going to see them live in a month! :D

Sorry, just had to share. xD

  • @SelvesteSand That's true ;)

  • I'm so going to make a music video for this song one day. I don't mean mixing other Rise Against music videos totally randomly and calling it fanmade, I mean writing, filming and editing it myself - got several ideas for it already. I'm just in doubt whether I should have the car CD player show "The Approaching Curve" or "[something with ambient keyboards and light percussion]". :D

Does anyone know any music with ambient keyboards and light percussion? :P

  • @lespaulultra712 All coaches should be like that! I'm so glad to hear that story, because I really love when people take their time to teach other people how to respect other people. :D
