  • Well growing up I always was hang out with my grandfather and uncles in the garage, during High School I took an Auto shop class, but went into the Army and just keot doing it as a hobby. Plus if you tear up thing you don’t repeat the same mistake.

  • Sorry it took so long to get back but had to go find my receipts, for just the machine work it was 100.00 to turn the crank, 35.00 do the fly wheel, and 50.00 for hot tank over night with tax still under 300.00. I thought that was great.

  • is that an aluminium head? ive never seen such a clean shiny head!

  • @itsawindupuk Thanks for watching, for your question “yes” it’s an aluminum head (good catch), when I had the original cast iron head checked out at the machine shop, they found a cracked in the water jacket of number 2 cylinder. This is the first aluminum head I have every used, but with the weight difference, and better cooling I’ll see if it was worth the money spent.

I just got finish tearing out the engine compartment, and start prepping for paint.

  • brilliant video!!! good to see all the detail of the rebuild

  • @itsawindupuk Thanks, It's slowed me down with the tapping, but I had a lot of fun doing it. My wife, and kids keep laughing at me for doing it, they think no one cares about these little cars anymore, so I' mtrying to prove other wise, so keep it coming.

    Thanks

  • how much did it cost to do all that?
