  • Next week's show,,,they're doing THE PRODUCERS--and it happened in real life!

  • Even in the 1950's, $3,000 wouldn't go that far..

  • Hasten dad's demise!

    Buy him cartons of cigarettes!

    Kerist!

  • The theme heard in this original telecast is Philip Morris' famous "signature", "On the Trail", from Ferde Grofe's "Grand Canyon Suite"; when they began sponsoring a radio program featuring Grofe's orchestra in 1933, his theme became their "calling card" in their many radio and TV shows for almost 25 years. Equally famous was Johnny Roventini, the Philip Morris bellhop (also introduced in 1933), who became their icon on radio, TV, and in print, magazine ads, posters, et. al.

  • 28:56- "MY LITTLE MARGIE" began on June 16, 1952 as a summer replacement for "I LOVE LUCY", and lasted three seasons.

  • Originally telecast on June 12, 1952.
