I respect your opinion and everything but why care about what the vocals are saying? i mean it is an important part of the music but i think how they sing it is A LOT more important. without that it's just poetry (or lack there of). when i listen to a song the lyrics are one of the last things i listen to but that's just me. granted when it comes to something like rap then the lyrics do matter a lot more because that "i'm a thug" bullshit just pisses me off.

The vocals aren't always the most important thing, i'll agree with you there. However, i do take them into account, as well as the musical sound of the songs. Emo is just boing and repetitive sounding, and death/black metal sounds like a fat chick being raped by Barack Obama.

We also have to take into account that there are exceptions within every genre. Personally, I'm not a huge death metal fan either but I love to listen to bands like Amon Amarth or Dethklok. For the record though, before someone bitches you out for it (unless someone already has, I don't feel like reading the comments), the 30 Seconds to Mars song is just called Attack. I agree though that black metal just sounds like noise. I'm yet to hear an exception in that case.

I prefer Skindred out of the three songs as i believe they are the best band in the world - just an opinion but this is mine. Thing is, i also quite like the other two songs and believe that people should stop jumping on or disrespecting what other peoples music tastes are. Afterall, the wider the pallet the greater the taste.
