Dubai was so ambitious. They gambled billions of dollars to build superficial structures to attract tourists and foreign investors. But due to the global ecomic downturn. Dubai suffered a lot.

I remember during my 2 years of stay in Dubai. It seems that everyday was a big event. Their agressiveness to develop an artificial economic success, now put Dubai into a brink of economic collapse.

Airport, malls and hotels are half empty. This is the consecquence of a greedy government approach.

all of this was built on the dreams and promises of arrogant sheiks, arrogance comes before the fall, They should take his palace, this fraud has been going on for decades now, And even the experts fell for it, i wrote against those sheiks months ago, all laughed, here it is, i wouldnt work in such a place, there is no judiciary except

I just talked to my friend who work in dubai for a japanese company...The japanese company stoped the construction because dubai is not paying them..now they give them 24 hours notice to get lay off....very sad..

A very nasty thing in those middle eastern countrys is that you can never become a citizen there no matter how long or hard you have worked over there.

Now for a moneygrabbing carreerist like the couple in this clip thats not so bad, he will find another place to become contruction manager for a little less.

But the poor workers building all the shit there wont find another job very easy becaus they are at the bottom of intrest.

I feel sorry for him -- NOT. All sorrow must go to the $1/hr workers who go back to abject poverty. At least this dude's got other than a third world country to return to. And maybe Shiek "Mofo" will buy his Porche for one of his horses.

Except for the laborer's conditions, I love seeing the chickens come home to roost in Dubai.
