@PacRimJim his singing voice was dubbed for that movie, but there are numerous other examples of his singing voice on youtube.

I think he's the perfect incarnation of Sherlock Holmes in the history ever. Except for the fact that he's too good-looking to be Sherlock Holmes.

@LueEvangeline He is the perfect incarnation of Sherlock: if you read the book you can see that Holmes is good looking and charming...a bit dandy if you want. Exactly as Jeremy is!

0:33 ! I just stopped and froze for that second there right with him....! I mean....the way he says it with such.....passion, in a way. not a word you'd put to Sherlock Holmes everyday, for things that didn't have to do with his cases, and for something like a flower....! I jsut sigh right after hearing his speach, especially with the way he comes back to himself slowly, like that. Amazing. just......so enrapturing......

I think that it's so difficult to play so intensely a monologue like this in the mouth and in the heart of an apparently "cold" character as Sherlock Holmes should be. Jeremy Brett was simply a genious, you can see the great and true thespian in every nuance of his voice, face, move and gesture
