This is the view of the Sydney Dust Storm from the Frenchs Forest area.
I went to bed around 4am and I could smell this strange smell. I don't always have the best nose for smell, so I figured I might have been a little loopy because I was tired.
Then at 7am this morning my sister woke me up to this red-orange sky outside.
It's due to dust from the Australian desert being carried east to Sydney by 90+kph winds.
It's a fine dust and if you have to go outside today it's a good idea to wear a mask.
i missed this, we were in europe.. your street looks very familiar..

pretty dangerous to breathe that fine dust without a mask, especially for elders, children and people with respiratory problems. better stay safe.
