Chicago, City of Shoulders - Andy Davis

The really cool part about this video is that there are no moving images in it at all except for the actors. Every shot is a still or a composite of a lot of stills.
The director, Steve Kuhn, went to Chicago for a few days and just walked around and shot constantly. Back at Base Camp, we chopped up several hundred photos into the parts that we wanted and then stuck them together into a kind of "collage" of Chicago. The idea of the video was to create that "moment in time" when Andy fell in love.
With beauties and mattes, mixed with camera moves, etc., some shots in the video approached 700 layers!
