Yarra bicycle path downstream of Dights Falls flowing around 7 billion litres/day on Sun 5th Sep 2010 at 2-35pm with river rising steadily and no warning signs in place. The bicycle path was only passable by cyclists with several family groups with young children opting to cycle through the shallow floodwaters to continue their travels. This would not have been possible later in the day when the river rose more than 0.3 m at Melbourne Water's Johnston St gauge downstream to peak at 2.24m (2.76m on old MMBW datum) later that night between 10-11pm at a flow of around 9.3 billion litres/day.
