I know - furthermore, the old Pizzeria, which jumped across across the road into the cafe, has now been replaced with 2 smaller places! A hot dog place, and a sandwich shop. With Food Fight now open across the road, MacDougal street is coming back to life again! Thanks to Obama.

Update - Carpo's cafe is now 'Ritz Asia', and the old Le Figaro is now a Mexican. There are now restaurants on all four corners of Bleecker/MacDougal again. Happy days!

Very sad video as many of the restaurants are no more. The Minetta tavern (on the corner on the right at 00:12) is now empty and boarded up, as is Carpo's cafe on the right at 1:10, and now also Le Figaro on the opposite corner to Carpo's. George Bush is to blame.
