Anglia Rover, 16/4/10

Today I decided to do a bit of bashing and seeing what a saw as I got off at various stations. I started the day at Trimley where I made my way to Ipswich, boarded an express to Norwich which was being hauled by 90005. I then headed over to Cambridge on a National express 170, which was very uncomfortable. At cambridge I saw 66845 in the sidings and it later departed (separate video). After getting a cornish pasty for lunch, I then hopped on an FCC 365 to Ely. I saw 2 freights when I got to Ely, these being 66100 on the 4E25 Bow to Heck plasmors. The other freight was 66133 on the 6L39 Mountsorrel to Trowse with loaded hoppers, it was seen arriving and after running round its train, coupling up to its load, which included some RMC hoppers. Just after departing Ely, we sight the magnificent cathedral that dominates the town and towers about the fens. I then headed over to Norwich, then Diss. Then I boarded an express to Ipswich hauled by 90002. I went heads out through Stowmarket, Needham Market and passing Ipswich yard.

Brilliant! 90005 Vice Admiral Lord Nelson ;-) I should know all about him, I was born on the date in the year which commemorates the greatest day in this nations naval history, 21st. October, 'Trafalgar Day' :-) At 2min 08sec Dispatcher Board? I rarely travel on trains now, so what the hell---- For a moment I thought you were videoing NMBS, or SBB. What was wrong with the Red, or Green flag then? Couldn't make them cheap enough :-(

Awesome video mate - Those Anglia Plus tickets are awesome, I got a 3 days in 7 pass on my Anglia holiday! I wish we had tickets like that down here! - What does LACON stand for on the ticket?
