Part 1 of a series that I hope examines the issues, concerns, problems, and continued threat of living under theocratic government.

  • Conservative theocrats should realize, that a spiritual path is something a person must choose on their own.

  • Yes. I say live and let live.

  • My view on Stemcell Research;

    The Amish live in America, but they have religious problems with cars, electricity, etc. So they simply don't use them. But they do havce access to the modern world, aparantly some of them even have rollerblades because technically there's no rule against it.

    Similarly, if Christians don't like stem cells, great, let THEM suffer and die.

  • @Atheist001 Yeah,but conservative theocratic assholes don't care about what you want to choose on your own -that's the problem. They will enforce their agenda!

  • Librty and freedom are more valuable than religion.

  • The problem with a "theocracy" is that it never actually is "rule by God". It's always the "rule by men in the name of a god they've created in their own image & likeness." The divine becomes pretext and alibi- and men set themselves up as adjudicators of the divine. If self-described "Bible believing Christians"- who allegedly abhor idolotry when perpetuaued by others, can't see the obvious paradox in their position, they're either imbeciles or inately dishonest.

  • "The fundamentalists would become a 3rd world society."

    I have the same impression, all that is need is to look at the Fundie Muslims and you have a foretaste of the eventual outcome of the direction that Fundies Christians are heading.
