Said the fight to make ends meet
Keeps a man upon his feet
Holding down his job
Trying to show he can't be bought

Ooh, it takes every kind of people
To make what life's about, yeah
Every kind of people
To make the world go round

Someone's looking for a lead
In his duty to a King or to a creed
Protecting what he feels is right
Fights against wrong with his life

There's no profit in deceit
Honest men know that
Revenge does not taste sweet
Whether yellow, black or white
Each and every man's the same inside

Ooh, it takes every kind of people
To make what life's about, yeah
It takes every kind of people
To make the world go round

You know that love's the only goal
That could bring a peace to any soul
Hey, and every man's the same
He wants the sunshine in his name

Ooh, it takes every kind of people
To make what life's about, yeah
It takes every kind of people
To make the world go round

It takes every kind of people
To make what life's about, yeah
Every kind of people
To make the world go round

(Repeat to fade)

  • me yusta muto la canción XD

  • Was it Jo O'Meara who did it with the S Club? Who knows? But a great jam and the music is awesome!! Great, great song. SOOOOO uplifting. A melting pot in this world with "Every Kinda People" to make the world go round.

  • @iPodTeen3 It was in a movie - used during the credits of The Guru, starring Jimi Mistry and Heather Graham.

  • YESSSSSSS!!! I finally found a way to get this song!! I've been searching for months.

  • @ParkerWashington Came out in 1978 and is featured on the Singing Machine's "Real Karaoke-Original Artist- Love Ballads Vol. 1" Pick it up online, at your fave record store, on the Singing Machine's website, or where karaoke may be sold! Check out my version with the aforementioned Robert Palmer track!

  • @bronxred It is! From 1978!

  • i heard jo o`meara recorded a video of this song.too bad it is`nt on youtube

  • Yes, it was a signature tune for Palmer but was actually written by Andy Fraser of Free.

  • I love this song.

  • I believe this a cover of a Robert Palmer song.
