yeah, I know I could've shortened this by a couple minutes or so... thought I'd might as well use the whole 10 min.

If you've never seen this movie in it's entirety then I'd strongly recommend you do not watch another youtube clip of Thief. Just get the movie and watch it... you won't regret it.

    Will always be a great movie. I honestly believe the "diner scene" dialogue here is better than the oft-praised 'Heat' diner scene... which I felt was a bit too "Hollywood" if that makes sense.

    Overall, the dialogue in "Thief" is top-notch from beginning to end, the cinematography is on spot and the soundtrack is second only to Bladerunner.

    This is one of the most realistic and gut-wrenching scenes of someone describing his time in prison of any noir film.

    Great scene. It doesn't get much more genuine than this. As much as I enjoy the connection between Neil and Eady in Heat (which I saw before Thief), this is just on another level.

    arguably the best 10 minutes of dialogue in an American film ever; and the scriptwriters give it to 2 actors who can make this seem so real, that, as an audience, we feel awkward + guilty as if we are eavesdropping on an intimate reality we shouldn't really be a party to: in one word; Magic
