DISCLAIMER: I am NOT an interpreter! I understand that the art of ASL is very complex, and what I do is much closer to "Signed English" as opposed to actual ASL. The phrases I sign in these videos are things I mashed together from individual words I learned on the internet and from friends, and are probably not very close to the actual ASL phrases. If you would like to start learning ASL, I highly recommend it--it's a beautiful language, and there are many good resources out there (myself not included). With that said, I am not trying to disrespect anyone in the process of making these videos, I'm simply trying to have fun with my friends. These video's are highly entertaining and i'm glad you have your disclaimer! (It shows you care) Just a heads up though. the sign you are using for Japan is rather racist. (although it still technically is a sign for Japanese [or a Japanese person.]) the politically correct sign would be to sign vagina (upside down) without the tapping motion, and make the shape of Japan itself. Hope this helps and keep up the funny videos!

@thfemale In addition to the sign for Japan, this is also conceptually inaccurate. The sign for "IN" needs to be dropped, as you are not physically in a place. Drop the initialization of "I", and replace the sign for big (this means physically big. Do you get larger when you visit Japan?) with the sign for popular

I've learned since this video that I was signing "I" incorrectly, and I should be pointing to my chest instead, but I didn't even think about the "big" vs "popular" idea. Thanks! I still have a question, though. If I'm not signing "in," what should I be signing to explain that I mean "over in Japan"? Does "Japan - me - popular" get the point across on its own? Thanks again for all your help!

Regarding "big" vs "popular" - this one doesn't translate very well, for that exact reason. The joke behind "I'm big in Japan" is not just that one is popular there, but that it's because one has a big dick. So using "big" in terms of size is not 100% wrong, but it's not 100% right either. It's an English joke that simply doesn't translate to ASL because of the multiple interpretations of "big" in English.
