i hate these stupid things, all they do is swim, eat, and make babies and what do they eat? game fish, lots of em to, my dad and i are commercial spearfishermen, if even just one of these gets on a spot they rape the land of everything. to all of you who say"o h i hope we keep this resource" think about the people who literally lose their way of life from these things

i dive the florida keys every year and yes they are becoming common again. this is a very rare sight here. they dont impact the other fish species like popular belief. everyone should do some research before seeing one video and thinking they must be taking over. and on spearfishing, there is nothing wrong with going and getting your limit on fish once in a while. as long as your not breaking the law everyone has a right to partake of this food source.

I shot this a year ago. The Goliaths are starting to group up again. Hope to get even better video in the next few weeks.

This looks like a breeding colony. And you're spear fishing? Ever heard of the Physteria bacteria that's present in large groupers? I wouldn't be eating those if I were you...

This is an annual breeding aggregation off Jupiter, FL. >80 BIG goliaths at 120ft. Don't see that many places.
Spearfishing? Goliaths are protected. Randy Jordan was carrying a spear gun in the video but he would never shoot one. I think you can find a video of him pulling a spear from a Goliath a few years ago when we had some idiot shooting them.
