@knivesandstuff I also agree that tastes are obviously very subjective thing, but, for example, in suggested videos, there is "BUSHCRAFT KNIFE : THE WOODSMAN BY GARRETH TOWNSEND". That dark handle definitely adds more character to the blade, compared to if it had light-brown colored handle. On prices, if you get the hang of it, it will not be expensive :)
Anywayz, forgive me if I fail to see my ignorance on the subject.
@knivesandstuff No, I'm not suggesting you to completely reinvent your recipe, just a few limited edition blades, just to see a reaction of your customers, that's it. :)
If it works and demand is high, next steps are obvious.
I probably wasn't clear enough, just try something different in between your usual stuff.
@funky3ddy lol. you think a mirror polish cost $5 - $10? Your ideas certainly may appeal to some. you are misunderstanding a little.. im not working with what I can.. Im working with what I want to. This particular wood is functional, durable, and pleasing.
I hope you can understand that you are advising to change something thats not broken right? if you had a business that was always sold out would you change the recipe based on the advice of someone that never tried your goods?
@knivesandstuff Criticism is important, look at Geoge Lucas, when person has too much creative control (controls every single aspect of production to his liking) and receives zero criticism, everything can easily go the wrong way (looking at you episode 1-3).
Don't be stubborn, be more open minded to criticism, try a bit variation, I'm 100% positive, your customers will welcome it. ;)
@knivesandstuff Well, I never said your blades are bad or not functional. As you said, they are tools and apparently they are very good at what they are, amazing cutters. I never tried your ware, judging from high demand.
There's no need to makes them in G10, work with what you can, wood, try some beautiful wood types, mirror polish 'em, boom, instant beauty. Different wood for different series, boom, separation. Extra $5-10 will not be a deal breaker for your customers.
@funky3ddy Hey, its all good. we all have our own opinon on what gives something character or not.. All I will say is that I'm not backlogged 100+ knives and 8 months of knife making because they lack Character to the people that enjoy them.. haha :)
all the best, and enjoy the vids.. you can just imagine color G10 handles.. but I work on what works.. being different for the sake of it is not an improvement in engineering. I am seeking perfection of form in my eyes. Regards.
@knivesandstuff ok does the new yt format not have comment notifications? Anyway i mean the last one, the pointy bushcraft one (ashamed that i cant remember the name)

@knivesandstuff Yeah, but because of those handles, your knifes kinda lack character, they all look the same, like they all are part of a giant set.
In my opinion, there should be separation between bushcraft, tactical and kitchen series, distinctive look, which now they lack.
Just a suggestion m8 :)
