  • If Canada had individuals pay their own way in health care we would have more healthy people and people having to be responsible for their health. Here you can treat your health like crap because you do not have to pay for it directly. So when you get the triple bypass you did not have to pay for it because you were able to spend that money on junk.

  • @tordor It's funny 'cuz it's not true...

  • Truly an American hero. Standing up roasting an asshole like Bush. When he's sitting right there.

    I mean, GOD DAMN.

  • @cannabisour @kilroy238

I'm Canadian. This is what I think of my healthcare (won't comment on Obama's, don't know enough about it). Yeah, it's true that hospital waits suck. But, many Canadians are scared shitless to even cross the border into the states without buying insurance because of all the horror stories told of being injured in the states and getting MASSIVE bills for it. We're not perfect, but if you made us pay for healthcare individually, we'd nationally riot. Not kidding. Riot.

  • @tordor

    yeah ok.

we have to pay for our heathcare, yet the us isn't exactly a healthy country.

  • @relauraba Do me a huge favor and point out where I quoted George Carlin

  • @antigov84 i wouldn't say he's a hero so much as what he's doing here is heroic. he's challenging authority and the media to their faces. i think he's genuine in his concern for American politics. but then again, i could be wrong. who the fuck knows.

  • @antigov84 as you quote george carlin.

  • @tordor my sister would be permanently crippled from scoliosis, and my dad's slipped discs would have disabled and addicted him to painkillers if not for free healthcare, now they're healthy productive members of society and we pay for lots of things, like dental work

  • @antigov84

    Hahahaha hahaha.

Sir if you have to ask a question that crazy, I can't answer you. Roasting a political leader as bad as Bush was is not the same as roasting a celebrity. I appreciate the comparison because it should be so simple shouldn't it? But it's not.

  • @Zeratul723 Up, are you familiar with how roasts work? In what way does that make him a hero? Would that make Mike Tyson a hero for roasting Charlie Sheen? Or is it just your hatred of Bush, you are willing to call someone a hero for not legitimate reason?

  • @myntebuu That is like some college kid telling you about the genius of Dane Cook. It is not that I dont get it. Nothing he says is clever or creative. I know, it is a persona, but it is a boring one, and he has beat that horse to death. He reminds me of Bill Maher in the sense that his fans will laugh at anything they say.

  • @antigov84 "Uncreative play on words." ...Justwhat. I'm sure you're confused and have thus misplaced your view of what is mundane from your brickshet to Colbert's genius. Seriously, puns are generally terrible and are insanely hard to rock. He reinvents them. "Baby jokes"? The intended humour and charm in his immaturity actually... /is/. He intends to play the fool, however what lies beneath many of his jokes are rare instances of America's true wit, that true fools cannot recognize.

    Hilarious, Colbert was RIGHT-ON!
