Polls indicate that the southwestern state of New Mexico is leaning toward the Democratic party this year. Voters will be electing two U.S. Senators, because the Republican incumbent Pete Domenici (Doh-MIN-ah-chee) is retiring, plus all three of its seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. New Mexico also seems to be favoring Democrat Barack Obama for President.
