THE MOON IS GRINNING AT ME ~ Ruth Gaylor~ The Hudson-DeLange Orchestra ~ 1937-1938.
Will Hudson & Eddie DeLange were both talented song writers who became "Band Leaders" in 1936. Normally , Hudson wrote the song melodies & handled the song arrangements for the band and Eddie DeLange supplied all the lyrics. Their partnership fizzled in early 1938 and Hudson took over complete leadership of the orchestra. They teamed up again in 1941, but not much became of it. Hudson then became an arranger for Glenn Miller, while DeLange wrote songs in Hollywood, where he would pass away on July 13, 1949.
