@oorgah You're not a psycho, you've been manipulated by the propaganda which makes you wanna have that burger from McDonalds or Burger King.

I dig this because of what it "almost" says. Pull the comedians (the non-comedic footage is the comedy, man...the juxtaposition does not work here despite the scramble effect) and you have something special that is under three minutes.

I never was a fan of macdonalds. I used to prefer burker king until I quit eating junk food about ten years ago. For the past year I ve noticed a strange desire to go and buy food from macdonalds.. Am I a psycho? It actually started with a local brand that is considered to be a bit better (but still shit) but then after a month or two I started having a desire for macdonalds. And the strange thing is that since I was a kid I had a snobish attitude towards them..

if you look real hard you will see that "brand new" stuff" isnt really brand new, they only make old stuff new again without anyone realizing it

(cont) Clothing companies are a great example of manipulation of emotions ..you want to feel cool dont you ? buy these jeans...you want to look classy dont you ? buy this jacket . Clothing is seen as a status symbol. People buying from want it fine but when advertising is so heavy w/messages that things make you complete people go into debt trying to get them we see it all over now. I have no problem with a simple exchange i have a problem w/predatory advertising & materialism.

Ok perhaps coerce is a strong term but advertising often manipulates people's emotions into buying things they do not need. Im an adult now so i can sometimes fight of the burger urge but a 5 year old who has a happy clown telling them to buy a burger cannot reason through the message that a burger is going to make them happy so they bug their parents.

When was the last time someone coerced you into buying a burger, or anything for that matter? There's a difference between tempting and coercing. One involves force, and the other doesn't.
People everywhere buy from want, when they've satisfied their need. What's wrong with that? Why is the exchange of goods and services so reprehensible to you?
Even you exchange your labour for money (assuming you're employed).
This is great!, did you edit it togather?

The clips are from Carpenter's "They Live", Amazon Women on the Moon, Hamburger the Movie, I'm Gonna Get You Sucka', Beer, Mr. Mike's Mondo Video, and a few others you should be able to figure out.
