Nearly restored 30" Locke single with a Briggs and Stratton 19R6 iron block and reverse transmission. The reel and bedkinfe were out for sharpening. I had just installed a newer carburetor on it. I did the work myself. the Briggs engine and Nelson muffler make a nice thumping sound when running.

  • Nice peice! Have you mowed with it yet? Do you have the sulkey? For god sakes man detail that motor! Use high temp gloss black and score your self some new decals.

  • @Kloz75 Thanks! I have been mowing with it for some time now. The transmission lost all its fluid after a few mows so I put another on that isn't painted. I still need to get the original rebuilt and will be taking it to JM Mower in Pawtucket RI. I have 2 sulkeys and one goes with this machine. My 70" one has a padded seat and this one is just metal. I did detail the engine and I pulled off the decals. I still have to get some new ones. This machine was a learning experience for me.
