I was 17 when Moontan was released. Growing up in a small city in Sask, Canada, we would cruise Albert Street at night, drag racing, smoking pot, & drinking beer. The police would just dump our beer, & send us on our way. (the world, & I have changed a lot since then) The evening wasn't complete without having Golden Earring on. You could demonstrate what Pot is like, to those who haven't experienced it, by advising them to listen to Moontan, & DarkSideOfTheMoon; preferably in a dark room.

Moontan. One of the greatest albums that came out in the 70's. I was there, I heard it many times, still enjoy listening to every tune on the LP. I still have the LP in vinyl.

One of my alltime Earring favourites and together with The Vanilla Queen my favourite song on Moontan.

This live version is sounds much more inspired than the version on the Ahoy dvd. The duet of Kooymans' guitar and Borger's sax is candy to the ear.

My favorite song by GE, been a fan quite a while. Check out the double album "Last Blast of the Century", its live but still good.
