Pirates of Silicon Valley is a 1999 made-for-television film directed by Martyn Burke and based on the book Fire in the Valley: The Making of The Personal Computer by Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine. The film documents the impact on the development of the personal computer of the rivalry between Apple Computer and Microsoft. It spans the time period of the early 1970s to 1997, when Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle) and Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) develop a partnership after Jobs returns to Apple Computers.

  • @SWest00072 For the record Xerox created Windows at PARC, Jobs redesigned his software at APPLE around what he saw at PARC and first put it on the LISA then moved the software to a consumer model which became the APPLE....while working on the MAC project Bill Gates also was inspired by the Mac operating system and created an operating system for PC that would become Windows..."Good Artists copy...greateartists STEAL!" lol

    They wouldn't have gotten there without firing Jobs and him starting Pixar with Disney...
