Hi Pinkelona,
I use conditioner on their manes because the mares seem to get more tangles than my stallion. Yes, it takes along time to do the braids but it is worth it because I know what their manes are like undone.

Hi Pinkelona,
I braid him every week. I would never ever clip his mane or shorten it. I have two mares also that are braided during the winter months and then they are not braided for the spring and summer.
