@tomcatpilot15 Well theres my problem, i have a 10 degree timing tab! I kinda had a feeling it wasnt right but i wasnt for sure. Thanks for the help. I know what im going to be doing this afternoon now.

@jimjo48 yea i know i got shorties and did all the mods to my car months ago, long tubes on 3rd gens is a nightmare thanks though :)

@38snipshow long tubes have ground clearence issues and if its computer conrolld you cant g toocrazy wih the cam shorties mke more tourque

Sounds great! I have an 87 with a 305. I have a mild cam, longtube headers, 2 1/4 inch all the way back into some cherry bomb glasspacks. It sounds real good . It looks like yours is runnin rich judging by the fuel you can see on the ground right underneath the tailpipes, mine does the same thing. Any advice on how to get mine runin better would be greatly appreciated.

@jjustcaleb at that point in the swap it was not able to drive thats why it sounds so lopey cause it was like 20 degrees retarted, i couldnt figure what was wrong until i figured out i needed a 12 o'clock timing tab instead of a 10 degree, but if yours is TPI then you can change the richness in the chip if its carbed then your gonna have to tune your carb, only reason mine spit out black was because i got the exhaust of a parts car and it had sat outside and when it first started it blew that
