So what if he is 13? He doesn't sound like one of those crazy people who are going to butcher somebody around the corner with that. I was only 13 when I made an account on Ebay buying knives, it didnt stop me. But different people have different looks on knives, I look at them as a piece of artwork, and some of my beater knives are ones as tools.

I was the same way when I was younger, even before 10 years old. End up making extra cash sharpening knives on a couple tours in Iraq and teaching buddies in my unit some knife techniques.
If it's what you love and who you are, doesn't matter your age. Obviously he has the co-ordination and intelligence to be safe whether he is 13, 15, 18, or whatever.

did your teacher allow you to take time off school to make this video?

I got a mini commander recently and it doesn't open smoothly at all... it's pretty tight and difficult to open. A few people on forums say that you need to open and close it hundreds of times for about three weeks to 'break it in' and get it to open smoothly. You don't seem to have this problem... did you buy yours used? Should I keep working at the blade or maybe just loosen the screw?

To RoyalAlba1, a liner lock means that the blade is locked by the liner. You can see it in the video between the handles, you have to press that to one side to close the blade.

Now that's a pocket knife. Or I might be wrong.

I noticed that some have made comments regarding your age,so what?
If anyone needs more protections in our increasingly sick and violent society it is those that are still too undersized to allow an effective defense from the predations of the nasty,sub-human characters.
Keep carrying a knife,it is the only way that criminals and thugs will be deterred!

i maybe sound stupid xD but what is a line lock?

I have lost count of all the people that had had a problem with Emerson's crappy liner locks, including my self. Come on EKI your a knife company that makes knives for NASA. You should be making more quality products.

good review.

actually 154cm steel was originally made for tough industrial applications.. so no, cutting "anything besides flesh" will not dull the blade. this knife is fine for every day uses.

You do have a point that he shouldn't be using for trivial bullshit, but most people are extremists nowadays, you can use a box cutter to open a box, or you can use your overkill Emerson. I bet if everybody used an ordinary box cutter for opening boxes, most of these knife companies would face an economical downfall lol.
Can you use cargo shorts pockets aswell or does this wave system work better with jeans pocket??? Great video aswell..

actually all emersons are equally fast if we both start out hands on handle even then if i get a good grip on the handle by the time your hands touch your handle prolly equally as fast.
