Evo X vs GTO

Gto takes off first with great reaction time. Evo misses 2nd, and 3rd gear but Evo still takes the win.

i would have got the MR because honestly i believe their paddle shifting is faster then 99% of the people who are shifting out there. but stick would be a bit more fun to drive.

From what I understand u cant do the same type of upgrades to the MR that you can do to the GSR. Also it is cheaper to do the upgrades to the GSR. So from the factory it may be a bit more fun to drive and over all faster because of the paddle shifting but lets keep in mind......its an Evo. If you buy one and leave it stock,..you dont deserve to be in the Evo circuit. No one leaves an Evo un touched, that would just be insane. Its like marrying Eva Longoria and not having sex with her. lol

from what you understand. there are several companies developing parts for the MR. its EASIER to develop parts for the gsr but the only thing really different in developing for GSR and MR are things dealing with transmission i believe. cold air/cams/turbos/exhaust/head porting/etc. should all relatively be the same. so all in all the MR has more promising potential due to the insanely fast shift times of .1-.3 seconds per gear.how many people do you know that can shift that fast.

Ur right, that shifting is sick. Im not sure what the differences are when itcomes to upgrades. I Just know at the time I went to purchase mines this time last year, I look into some upgrades 1st and everything said not compatable with MR. So I looked into some forums and everyone was complaining that you couldnt do somethings to the MR that you can do to the GSR. Im not sure what upgrades they were talking about though, it was a lil over a year ago. So thats what kinda of steared me away. :-(

before i bought my X i was actually considering the 400hp beast, after the test drive i concluded Evo was the way to go! Now i say fuck Gto's as my modded evo X just rips them a new one

Luv this F'in Car ! All this power out of 2.0l and the car is still big enough to put a car seat in when that time comes. :-p

@biggredd3 My My how things change in a years time. MR has turned out to be able to handle massive power upgrades. A lot of people were downing playing the MR SST and hatin on it but now its like ugh-oh.. Little brother aint so little anymore.

evo didnt win . and it definetly didnt look like it missed 2 gears lol kus if it was like that the gto would have won by like 4 cars

Thats Ironic, i was on the same boat. I actually considered a GTO before I got my X. Since they stopped making them I considered the new Camaro for about a day, then that was pushed back. I finally went to test drive the X and I bought it that same day. My 1st turbo car, took me a second to get the hang of launching it etc. Went through the factory clutch at 4k miles. Now Launching like a rocket and all modded up. Running low and mid 12's.
