"When we were planning this event, we weren't sure what to call it. It couldn't be a graduation, but we needed to recognize and celebrate the journey that we have been on together and to mark this passage. We are calling it a commencement, which is a beginning, though in keeping with our characteristic shared history, we are moving into an unknown future. We have become champions of living with ambiguity and uncertainty while demonstrating an improvisational spirit and determination."
