I'm from India. In India 70% of the people are dumb..........In America, about 50% of the people are dumb...........But the good thing with India is that dumb people accpet they are dumb and leave the science to the true scientists...............It is so much of a pity that people like Dawkins and you who should be spending time in a lab discovering new stuff have to spend so much effort in combating stupid stone age myths in the 21st century.

If you *still* believe in a god at this point then maybe your speakers are not plugged in.

Belief isn't the problem so much as the assertion that your unverified belief is a fact. Then it's euphemistically referred to as faith.

I belive it was socrates who said he was wiser than the wise men of his age because he was aware that he knew next to nothing, when the others thought they know a lot, but also knew next to nothing.

Well, you've touched on the only difference...honesty about their own position. "Intelligent design" merely seeks to shoehorn itself in by pretending to not be creationism. They replace "God" with "designer." All of their arguments are basically identical, and it's very difficult for any intelligent design advocate to avoid mentioning the Bible.
-
@TheZooCrew as I understand it intelligent design differs from creationism in that proponents of intelligent design's arguments are never (openly) based on the presupposition that the bible is literally correct or that life was specifically created by god
-
They're basically the same thing...in fact, the term "intelligent design" originated when the words "intelligent design" were pasted over the word "creationism" in a creationist textbook.
-
@TheZooCrew forget it, I was thinking of intelligent design not Creationism
-
They might not come out and assert "believing is knowing," but they claim to "know" things that they actually just believe. It's the same thing.
-
@AronRa hmmmm why are these video's called "Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism" when you are in fact criticizing fundamentalism and literalism over all?
I mean I hate Creationism but to it's (very small) credit I don't think the "scientists" who support ever suggest that "believing is knowing", they claim to think that their conclusions can be arrived at solely by the scientific method alone?

@JanoElBozo The scene at 00:33 came from *Harvey* (1950) with Jimmy Stewart.
