  • These days it's almost cool to disrespect Royce. To me, the guy is still a total hero, without Royce there'd be no MMA and no UFC.

  • im glad to see some many enthusiasts of Royce around

  • Thanks man! Perfect subs... Great work.

  • @holidayrap No, I haven't head them give credit either. That's why so many people don't like them, because they come off so arrogant and claim GJJ is the be all end all. No doubt, every match a Gracie loses, there's a special reason why it's not true. I swear it's no better than "The sun was in my eyes!!!". Even egotistical UFC fighters (for the most part) will just admit that the other fighter was better than them that fight. The Gracies have no class, and that's what fans like:humbleness.

  • @noose357 Either way you put it. I think the reason that many dont like to give the Gracies credit is because they TAKE so much on their own! . You barely ever hear them giving other martial arts props (I for one have never heard them) and there (especially with Royce) seems to ALWAYS be an excuse when one of them loses!

  • @LeviAAA So so so incorrect. The first sanctioned "MMA" fight was in 1963 (Long before Royce was even on the map), bewteen Gene Lebell a very accomplished wrestler and Judoka and Milo Savage,a ranked boxer. Royce was merely the intermediary for bringing this type of sport fighting to the mainstream public. He was a glorified poster boy, hired to sell pay-per-view.Even by 90's standards, GJJ was very basic. No, MMA had already existed and would've become mainstream without Royce Gracie.

  • @LeviAAA there was MMA before ufc and royce look up kudo that was made in the 80's and then dont forget roman times they used fist and wrestling mma has been her for years everyone has a grown fighting style before the gracies

  • like or dislike gracie is a great fighter and stratagist
