Modern Romance - Don´t stop that crazy Rhythm 1983
The music's getting closer stay around,
just wait and see
Get up close and don't look around
Keep up and stick with me
I see a light, look where (look there)
It's closer all the time
Let's stay, let's play and make this moment
Yours and mine.
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy rhythm.
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy beat.
Next time you think
you've got that happy feeling
Don't stop that rhythm
Getting to your feet.
(Instrumental)
We're kissing, dancing
Just a touch romancing
Tomorrow never comes
Well so it's said
The taste of honey
No-one thinks of chancing
Next time don't think, don't talk
Let's do the things we read.
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy rhythm.
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy beat.
Next time you think
you've got that happy feeling
Don't stop that rhythm
Getting to your feet.
You mama says it's time for bed
But you got that music in your head
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy beat.
(Instrumental)
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy rhythm.
Don't stop, Don't stop, Don't stop
that crazy beat.
Next time you think
you've got that happy feeling
Don't stop that rhythm
Getting to your feet.
@Wickawoman Good stuff. I know this kind of stuff went down well with the Northern Portuguese I knew back in the 80s. Morrissey can go whine himself to death: Miserable Narcissistic Bugger:-))))

Forget Simon Le Bon, Tony Hadley and all of them. The Michael Mullins was gorgeous and looked like the sweet school prefect that got the end of term gig. If ever a bloke could be a male fatale and that coquettish. i don't care if Morrisey didn't like them. I love the way his voice sort of curved at the end of each line and tripped lightly over the words.

My mother used to play this on the record player as the last track of all the songs and music she'd play for us to dance too when we were little...just so she could sing the lines your mother says it's time for bed.. ;-P
