Could this video (and the Madge videos found on this channel) please get deleted? Such degrees of textural inaccuracy merely damage Sorabji's reputation.

The great thing about Sorabji's music is that you can play it horribly and nobody would notice.

Woah...

@RalphMarx If this is modern music... MODERN MUSIC SUCKS! This is pure nothing compared to the genius of Chopin, Beethoven or Mozart! The lack of melody, the sudden contrasts, the full removing of harmony or key signature are annoying and painfull for the ears!

THIS PIECE IS BULLSHIT!

@h0ttStuFf1 Sorabji would give your arse a right kicking , really he wrote this in this fashion, no one knows why , but its evocative, and somewhat creates a disturbing image process. its the closest thing to what can be called "modern" classic.

@h0ttStuFf1 Nyan Cat giving birth?
i wouldnt classify that as 'music' but as a constipated cat trying to give birth to a whale.

If the goal of a classical music listener is to hear "catchy tunes"... well... he'd rather listen to pop-music.
Classical music is not slave of fashion or aesthetical dogmas, but it renews itself throughut the centuries. Pretending round melodies à la Shumann in XX century classical music is quite absurd. Any book about the last 100 years of classical music will demonstrate it (Schonberg, Berg, Webern, Hindemith, Boulez, Stockhausen, Xenakis, Berio...). And Sorabji is not even dodecaphonic!
