ASL Joke: Frog Trade

Another of my favorite jokes, so you know I'm still alive :) I promise I won't disappear... hope you enjoy it!

(synopsis)
Guy is out on a lake fishing. He sees a snake swimming with a frog in his mouth. Feeling sorry for the frog, the guy scoops up the snake, takes the frog and lets it jump off. Then feeling sorry for the snake, (since he just took his lunch) he looks around the boat for something to give the snake to eat.
All the man has in the boat is a pint of whiskey, so he pours some down the snakes throat and sets him free back in the water.
Couple of minutes later he feels a tap on the side of the boat. He looks over into the water and it's the same snake holding up TWO frogs.

@MyHappyHands Maybe when you used your flat hand, swim away, looks like fish. Would using handshape, one (index finger), to show the snake swimming away, be incorrect?

@swedish1muffin: I guess it depends on where you wanted to put the emphasis. The flattened-palm allows me to emphasize HOW the snake was swimming.... visually, it's a cool "shot" the way a snake swims on the water- we KNOW it's a snake, it's been established, so native ASL users wouldn't confuse it with a fish.

If you wanted to use a "1" handshape to show the snake swimming, that would be your personal choice. For me, it removes the FLUIDITY of the movement that DEFINES a snake visually.

@MyHappyHands: Really, my comment was an out loud thought to myself "hmm, maybe it was the flat hand that threw them off..?" I would have for sure thought you said fish when I started out. :) I do agree with what you said and thats exactly why I love ASL, because of the many ways you create different visuals. I love your style, keep up with the awesome work!
