@YohanSabastienBanz ur right but you already are standing up the first time so that means its fall down 0 stand up 1 and so on..
-
@EternalLife305 yeah you can prepare to stand up an 8th time but in order to get up that 8th time you must fall down again so that makes fall down 8 stand up 8 ... unless you wanna say it like this fall down 7 and be prepared to stand up an 8th time , even though you would still have to fall down an 8th time ... I know it means you should never give up. But I just think whoever made this saying is pretty stupid.
-
technically it is impossible to get up 8 times if you only fall down 7 times. Any of you idiots who think otherwise are retarded. Period
-
D-Wade just fell down for the 8th time losing against dallas...watch how he will get up again for the 9th time this yr(if the lockout ends)...

@drwood04 your wrong
-
@titomcmuffin It's also a verse bud..... Where do you think the Japanese proverb came from?
-
This video and saying makes absolutely no sense at all.
-
This video made me fan of Dwyane Wade.
-
@drwood04 you're an idiot. it's a japanese proverb.

If you fall down or fail seven times stand up and be prepared to stand up an eighth time. FALL down 7 STAND up 8
my fav player in the NBA. Way underrated (everyones always talking about Lebron and Kobe).... but i just hope he can last and play a full career playin the style he does.

The explanation:
Dwayne Wade is a Christian -- a REAL Christian (i.e. one who actually obeys the Biblical command to give 10% of his income to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- this is known as a tithe)
The commercial is a reference to the Bible verse Proverbs 24:16 -- "Though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again"
Clear homage, but subtle enough to be missed by many watching the commercial; those who get it, get it, those who don't still like the commercial.
