  • Well, I was just thinking to do myself this project tomorrow, and now I saw this VID. Great job, but I have a question. How do you secure the saw blade to the main poles. I see some wrapping at 0:13 but nothing more. Is there any tension sticks in the holes of the saw, which I cannot see, or the trick is not of that kind?

  • @Lee68Perry - i have a couple of pieces of oak in the holes on the saw blade, the uprights but up against these and tension the blade when you tighten the windlass

  • yepp, nice saw. Gonna make one myself and I needed some ideas. But: that blade must be blunt as hell?

  • erm nope it isnt, brand new but working hard against well seasoned oak
