Very nice! Does the coastal highway have a shoulder the whole way? Were there a lot of difficult climbs along the coast? Which section of the route was the most demanding? Thanks a lot!

Awsome... I haven't had too good experience with the house brands... my internal gear hub gave out in the middle of an intersection... at any rate sounds like a sweet ride!

Hi guys. I'm in Toronto too. Any chance you could speak on the overnights? How much stealth camping, how much in hotels? Cost? You have a tour website? Would love to avoid the rest of this winter there.

We camped wherever possible except for some larger cities where we had no choice and were forced to stay at hotels. Besides that, we used COUCHURFING(dot)COM and stayed with private hosts - a great experience. Back then, the community was fairly new and there were not toom many members. Today it is really big.
The whole trip cost about $5000 (6 months), but Mediterranean Europe in summer can be expensive.

Good luck!

Hi. No, we are not in Toronto anymore. We have moved to Japan last year.
The trip took about 6 months from Portugal to Turkey. It was not a race. We wanted to see and experience as much as possible.

The bikes were made by a local Toronto bike shop - Urbane Cycle. No brand name meant much less money for a high quality bike.
