My name is Erin and I have been diagnosed w/ ME/CFS, Fibro, Morton's Neuroma, Scoliosis, several bulging/herniated disks, heart tachycardia, heart arithmia, hyper-mobile joints, hiatal hernia.... & you get the gist of it....
I needed an outlet because of the fact I can no longer journal due to the stiffness & pain in all the joints in my hands plus the muscle pain throughout my arm. Journaling or some other creative activity using my hands (writing songs or poems, making collages, or makeup art) has always been what I would normally utilize in order to vent or have a distraction during rough times. Since I can no longer do much with my hands, I thought I would start a video journal type thing. During recording of my first vid, I was not sure if this was going to be something I was going to share or not. The more I thought about it, the more it seemed like a good way to accomplish many things that I normally could not have done. Now, the people in my life have a way to know what's going on, I can vent and document my life with these illnesses (good and bad days), reach out to others and compare notes/experiences and I can spread awareness!!!
I squished to vids I had made that day into this one vid. I originally was unsure of what I was doing and also my 7 yr old mac laptop is nothing more than a paperweight now. I will have a new computer soon but until then I upload my vids on a family member's computer for now.
I know this might be a shot in the dark, but I was diagnosed with diabetes 3 years ago, and I totally turned it around by what I eat. You can do alot with rawfood. I eat 80 perent rawfood (organic) and 20 percent steamed organic vegetables. My question to you is: what do you eat? Do you eat alot of cooked food..dairy..cheese..meat? You might want to look at making your own fresh juices.....type in rawfood and you'll find alot of info.

Also, when my pain is unbearable I ask for a Prednisone script. You can only take it 3 or 4 times a year but it can really take care of the worst pain and give you a couple weeks where you function and live your life. Anyway, I;m talking too much. Hang in there and advocate for yourself. Don't accept your situation, there might be a better way to treat the conditions.

I just found you and I'm glad you made the video. I hope you found it helpful or cathartic. One thing I suggest is join Netflix or reserve movies at your library. On the days I feel like I can't do anything I can watch a movie so I put one on and for those 2 hrs I sort of forget my frustrations. I know that's not feasible w/ migraines, but it might other times. Also, do you think your docs are treating your pain well enough? I had to see many MDs before I found one who would prescribe pain meds
