These are selected clips from the International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA) finals in Denver in 2007. These are all from the Chute Dogging event (both days). It's amazing to see how many of the rides would not have qualified under the 2008 new rules.
These are steers, not calves. They are full grown, it's not cruel and their necks are very strong and have mostly muscle in them. Unlike our necks, where they would break if snapped. Some of them might even be bulls, but either way they are not calves. And this is not a cruel sport.

you guys do not dog the steers right. in the arizona junior high school rodeo association we cant touch their heads untill we cross the line and then with our right arm we put the horn into the crook of our elbow and we throw the steers in three seconds

I'm not into this sport, twisting the neck like that just makes me cringe.

this is the sport i dont like.. wrenching the necks like that.. not fond of that.. i know the cowboy/girl can be hurt too.. but they have that choice.. the calf doesnt.
however.. i still watch. some of those calves are dam strong.. 210 looked like it coulda hurt both.
