Not sure I would be ruttin all around my hunting spot with a dog the day before I'm going to hunt, I go in to Hunt then get out, deer don't seem to like humans and dogs, hard to get them to relax to be shot when they smell you and your dog all over the place, just my opinion.

i hunt in tree stands like that all the time. i dont use no safty belt either.

two words for ya SAFTY BELT, Don't matter how sturdy it is when you put it up. wood on wood has a way of changing with the weather. Not to mention a slip, a nap, or getting in and out in bad weather. The guy we lease from has been in a wheelchair for 30yrs from just that same kind of stand. He still hunts but he's gotta work a lot harder than the rest of us.
