yes, it does. with shoes i am no able to play heel toe or very fast, theres no feeling with shoes. but some drummers do, so figure out what is the best for you.

There is nothing under the orange rubber pucks, but there are nails going through the pucks so they would stay in and behind the nails are going in to a plank of wood.
