Afghan candidate denounces "state-engineered fraud"

Afghan presidential candidate Dr Abdullah Abdullah has criticised the election process, as authorities cancelled the scheduled release on Saturday of the latest tranche of results. The next batch of results from the controversial election, which have been overshadowed by allegations of fraud, would be released on either Sunday or Monday, a spokeswoman for the Independent Electoral Commission said.
