@jonvideo Thanks for the tip. No such thing as "when I'm not shooting." Like any photographer worth their salt, I am using the camera constantly (and I guess that also reflects just how much I like the camera). I do use ISOs up to ~1200 and am very pleased. When I said low light I actually mean at night - shooting real long exposures (hours) of the sky. An all-mechanical film camera still works better for me here.

@jonvideo IS Stabilizer will work with OM and after market lenses.

I currently have the older evolt 300, I'm upgrading to newer Olympus but am confused with all the different models out there for Olympus, which in your opinion is the best?

@dvamateur the plastic cover is made in china. When you open it up, the metal body underneath have made in japan markings, as well as most of the internal mechanisms.

@jonvideo thank you

this dude is drooling ........for this kind of situations, this camera is splashproof
3-e is the coolest camera, by the way.
As a landscape photographer the 360 degree articulating screen is amazing (as well as being able to close the screen against the body). Also - it's the most robust body I've used - in rain, mud, snow, hot, cold. One issue - in high temps (above 85 F) the "overheat" warning appears though this never slowed me down. Fully charged battery lasts ~3 hrs if using live view; longer if just using the viewfinder. Low lighting shooting is not bad.

Sorry about the overheat warning. You may want to get an insulated small cooler bag and put a artificial ice/gel pack in it in the hot weather and keep the cam in there throughout the day when not shooting. Live view will use more battery you are right. For low light shooting, do you up the ISO?

i have a bunch of OM lenses, when attached with an adapter, will they auto-focus? what features will stay and what will be taken away or decreased?

The autofocus won't work much of the time. The IS stablizer won't work, The focal length will be different than the one listed on the lens.
