DR. Smith, leave that little boy alone, you pedophile bastard!!!!!

@galaxybeing101 The same thing happened with Filmation's Flash Gordon in the early 80's. It was a good scifi cartoon but they became silly in the end.

I agree Mr. BlakesLiberator, the person Mr. Harris was bringing us was an awful pain in everyones, not just the Jupiter 2,s crew,s butt. Sort of like the "Frank Burns" of his day albeit in a totally different setting. I was a bit let down in those days when they turned a good idea into a kiddie show. It might have turned out like another trekkie type show if they had stayed serious. But maybe the sillier story lines were easier to do.

I've only got he whole series in VHS.
But, I wish they would colorize the first season, like they did with 'Bewitched'.

I'm inclined to agree, re Harris.
Whilst I didn't much like the character (although, there were a few times you could just about manage to), Jonathon Harris was, in my opinion, by far the best actor in the series and well chosen for the part.
"The pain...The pain..."

Jonathan Harris deserves acclaim for his work on Lost In Space. Jerry Sandusky needs a "firing squad" , hung by a certain area of his body or used as lunch for "Jaws" offspring. kudos for Mr. Harris, a long walk off a short pier for Jerry.

Awesome theme music

Dr. Smith WAS a bad guy like in the movie....not just snively....this was turned from a serious attempt at Sci-Fi into a campy kid's show...Just so happens I was a kid then.....

I like this show (got the DVD box set)

That's funny...the robot replica at :25 is mine. I built it in 1998 and that picture was taken at MacWorld San Francisco in 1999.
I'm sorry, but I have to:
