@toychristopher No no no! Of course not. Just an observation. It's a cute little pup, mine was an old guy. 14 years. But still as rambunctious as ever. It was over a year ago he ran away and I still miss him terribly. My sister replaced him with a chihuahua. It's just not the same. Doesn't help that the chihuahua is a brat and no one disciplines him.

Well done, Lucy! I've read all six shortlisted titles, and I agree with her, although "The Sense of an Ending" is my favorite of the lot.
I think that Lucy should be one of the judges for next year's prize.
